1:30 and 2:30 areas sound like a quote from the theme of the cartoon, David the Gnome. I don't quite get the Indian folk either. Though it does sound like some Indian pop music. I guess it's because you aren't playing a lot of raga lines really or that everything is so clean without any of the sympathetic string noise. I guess I'm just stuck in some preconceived notion of Indian folk music probably because I used to play the tamboura for a sitarist friend when he'd perform.

Nice to know you played tamboura. While sitar and tamboura i guess are more related to indian classical music(esp Carnatic), I didnt mean "indian classical" when i sain "indian folk"..and you are right, this one has no raga lines or gestures. So, this would be kind of folkish(non-classical) indian pop

Love that first beat. And I really like when the 4/4 started. That was cool. And I especially liked that the first theme after that was that sliding-string figure. Very nice music. Very well put together!

Great sounding production with some really cool deep bass. I'm not really hearing the indian folk scales here tough. More of a dance thing going on I think. I like the synth horn accents. Nice work!

I hear both oriental and asian influences here...interwoven with a funky beat and interjections of a brass section. And they all fit so perfectly together! Awesome track!!

Interesting blend of a light jazz style and an indian scale. The two go together really well. Plus the mix is great and really brings out the best in the composition.
